মাদকাসক্তি একটি নিঃশব্দে ধ্বংসকারী ব্যাধি—যা শুধু একজন মানুষকেই নয়, একটি পরিবার, একটি সমাজ এবং একটি জাতিকেও ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত করে। ২০০১ সালে, যখন বাংলাদেশে মাত্র হাতে গোনা ৫-৬টি প্রতিষ্ঠান মাদকাসক্তি নিয়ে কাজ করছিল এবং অধিকাংশ মানুষ এই চিকিৎসা সম্পর্কে কিছুই জানত না—তখনই আমাদের ‘প্রচেষ্টা’ কেন্দ্রের যাত্রা শুরু। সে সময় মানুষ শুধু চিকিৎসা নয়, আশা ও দিকনির্দেশনার অভাবে হতাশ, দিশেহারা ছিল। সেই শূন্যতার জায়গা থেকেই আমরা এগিয়ে এসেছি—ভবিষ্যতের জন্য নতুন দিশা দেখাতে।আমাদের লক্ষ্য শুধু চিকিৎসা নয়, বরং একজন মানুষকে নতুন করে জীবন শুরু করার সুযোগ দেওয়া—একটি সম্মানজনক, সুন্দর ও মাদকমুক্ত জীবনের পথে ফেরানো।
‘প্রচেষ্টা’তে আমরা অভিজ্ঞ চিকিৎসক, মনোচিকিৎসক, কাউন্সেলর এবং মাদকমুক্ত ও প্রশিক্ষিত স্টাফ নিয়ে একটি নিবেদিত টিম তৈরি করেছি, যারা প্রতিটি রোগীর মানসিক ও শারীরিক সুস্থতার জন্য কাজ করছে আন্তরিকভাবে।আমাদের কেন্দ্রের পরিবেশ শান্ত, নিরাপদ ও গঠনমূলক—যেখানে প্রতিটি মানুষ সম্মান, সহানুভূতি এবং ভালোবাসার মধ্য দিয়ে পুনর্বাসনের সুযোগ পায়। আমরা মাদকাসক্তি চিকিৎসাকে দেখি একটি দীর্ঘমেয়াদী পুনর্গঠনের প্রক্রিয়া হিসেবে, যেখানে অভিভাবকদের ধৈর্য্য, সহযোগিতা ও অংশগ্রহণ অত্যন্ত গুরুত্বপূর্ণ।শুধু চিকিৎসা নয়, আমরা চিকিৎসা-পরবর্তী সেবা (Aftercare) নিশ্চিত করি—যাতে একজন রোগী সুস্থ হওয়ার পরেও সমাজে স্থায়ীভাবে নিজেকে ধরে রাখতে পারে।আমাদের বিশ্বাস—প্রত্যেক মানুষ একটি দ্বিতীয় সুযোগ পাওয়ার যোগ্য। এবং সেই সুযোগটিকে বাস্তবে রূপ দেওয়ার জন্যই আমাদের প্রচেষ্টা। আমি কৃতজ্ঞতা জানাই আমাদের টিম, পরামর্শদাতা, শুভানুধ্যায়ী ও সেই সব পরিবারকে, যারা আমাদের ওপর বিশ্বাস রেখেছেন।আসুন, আমরা একসাথে গড়ে তুলি একটি মাদকমুক্ত, সুস্থ ও মানবিক বাংলাদেশ।

In 2001, when only a handful of 5 to 6 organizations in Bangladesh were working in this field and public awareness about addiction treatment was minimal, Prochesta began its journey. At that time, people were not only unaware of the treatment options, but also felt lost, hopeless, and without direction. It was from this void that we stepped forward—to offer a new direction for the future.Our goal has never been limited to medical treatment alone.
